PPO

Polyphenylene Oxide (PPO)

Polyphenylene Oxide (PPO) is an amorphous, inherently flame-retardant engineering thermoplastic that offers an excellent balance of dimensional stability, low moisture absorption, dielectric strength, and heat resistance. In practice it is often blended with polystyrene (PPE/PS) to improve processability while retaining PPO’s core performance.

Applications

Electrical & Electronic Housings

Electrical & Electronic Housings

Ideal for meter enclosures, relay bases, and high-voltage connector blocks thanks to its inherent flame retardancy and dielectric strength.

Automotive Under-Hood Components

Automotive Under-Hood Components

Used for pump housings, brackets, and fluid-handling parts where heat and dimensional stability are essential.

Water Management Devices

Water Management Devices

Chosen for pump impellers, filter housings, and valve bodies due to its low moisture absorption and hydrolysis resistance.
